Some stores and brands include a special store within Amazon.com, Office Depot, A&E/History Channel, Alamo Car Rental, Bank Of America, GEICO, Hertz, Lifelock, and National Car Rental. Of course we can never forget the Mensa Boutique.

Let's Get Geeky

According to Merriam-Webster online a geek is :

1 : a carnival performer often billed as a wild man whose act usually includes biting the head off a live chicken or snake

2 : a person often of an intellectual bent who is disliked

3 : an enthusiast or expert especially in a technological field or activity <computer geek>

Well, if you find yourself clocking in for work each evening and heading out to the center ring to bite a snake's head off, this may not interest you. However, if you are a person of the intellectual bent or an expert in a technological field it just might. Mensa membership also includes discounts with Mental Floss, Scientific American Mind, Knucklebones, PC Connection, Edmund Scientific, ThinkGeek.com, Free Spirit Publishing and Popular Science.

Who's That Mensa Nerd?

Kids Today and Their Newfangled Contraptions

Okay I admit it. I am not an expert on social media. Oh the shame! Actually I don't use it at all. I don't have a Facebook account, or Twitter account, or My Space, or Linkedin, or Pinterest. But guess who has dozens of accounts across all of these and more social media sites. Mensa does. I was stunned. Have you seen all of the information, contacts, and events listed all over the internet? You should. Get a look today at the thousands of people, places, and things you are currently missing out on. You could be one click away from the opportunity of a lifetime.

We Have A SIG For That

Mensa does a great job of not only bringing people together, but also providing like-minded people a platform to connect with one another. Mensa's S.I.G.s (Special Interest Groups) are a great way to reach out to others just like you who share an interest in history, science, scuba diving, cruises, cars, music, or an enormous variety of topics. S.I.G.s really embody what makes Mensa not just strong and vibrant, but unique. Not only does Mensa have no intention of influencing the way you think, we will help you find others who think the same way you do.

Gen-X, What Hast Thou Wrought

Jeannie Jo misses all the Gen-X-er action from when she lived in the New
Orleans area and really wants to start Gen-X events here. Send her an email (Contacts page) if you are interested in what she is working on next.
